Terra Magazine began as OSU’s first enterprise-wide publication to combine research and deep storytelling under the editorship of Nick Houtman. After several years of dormancy, it’s returning as a record of past research impact and documentation of the exceptional scholarship and scientific exploration that continues to take place across the institution.
This archive is now maintained by the OSU Story Lab, which is a center of excellence for student storytelling focused on research, a project from OSU’s Impact Studio. Content produced by program fellows and associates will appear on the site as new features, reviving OSU’s tradition of longform narrative about the pursuit big discoveries and big solutions that fuel a thriving world.
Terra is now a vehicle to integrate student experiential learning with Oregon State University’s historic mission to inform the public about the latest scholarship, science and research driving prosperity across our state and beyond.
